SMS Broadcast - Changing the Originator
When sending your SMS Broadcast you have the option of setting the Originator as either a word or a mobile number.
The originator is the name that recipients of your text messages will see the message as coming from.
To change the originator to another word or mobile number simply click on the update button, make the change and save. If the system will not let you make the change please contact our Support Desk who can add this permission to your login.
Note: The originator can be a maximum of 11 characters or numbers and cannot contain any spaces. You can use capitals though so if you do want an originator with two (shortish) words we recommend that you use capitals for the first letter of each word for example HappyHols
If you also subscribe to our SMS Desk service for two way text messaging with your customers, visitors and staff then you may want to add your SMS Desk 'Text In' number as the originator so that any replies arrive in your Pending Message screen.
